The Lemony flutter is a cult product among many beauty addicts all over the world. I never really cared about my nail care until my cuticles started bleeding because of their dry-ness. -yes, it’s that dramatic- Then I also added Ocean Salt to my wish-list because I realized I don’t have a facial scrub in my collection. I do have a couple of body scrubs and a few samples of facial scrubs, but I never really liked any of them before. Also this looks really pretty, and I would be lying if I said that isn’t one of the reasons I want it. A hair mask, because my hair is extremely dry and it could use a bit of refreshment. This hair mask has mint in it which gives your head a lovely feeling, it really does! Last but not least I had to add the It’s Raining Men soap to my wish-list. I tried this last year and I fell in love imediately. This smells so (…) good, like heaven! This also is the only soap people ever complimented me on. I mean, I need to get a new one right?!

Maybe I should tell you a bit about my week because I haven’t blogged a single bit. That might have been because school started again and I had to re-organize everything because I managed to put all my stuff in different places throughout the Christmas holidays. I also started running, which is a miracle. I now run 3 times a week and do some excercise the other days. I live very close to THE place to run so I guess that’s a motivation, I spend more time walking than running but at least I am doing something! I’ve also ombred my hair which I will write a post about asap! And that’s basically all I did. I had a boring week, really.

Oh wait, I’ve also watched Easy A 3 times this week, what an amazing movie! I’ve got a pocket, got a pocket full of sunshine…

This week I didn’t make a lot of Instagram photos since I spend a big part of the week without wi-fi. It was a very fun week where I wasn’t home a lot, catched up with a few people and decided to give myself a new look for the new year. I also did some amazing shopping this week which I didn’t take any pictures of, but I am proud to say I only bought stuff I really needed/wanted for a long time. Shopping actually feels so good if you come home afterwards without feeling guilty at all! I further read an amazing book: Looking for Alaska. I can honestly say it has been a while since I read a book as good as this one. Especially the last words from famous people inspired me. Of course I would’ve taken a lot more photos of the quotes of the majority of my followers weren’t english.

A little while ago I saw this on a Dutch blog and got inspired. 5 things I like about myself and how I look & five things I don’t like about myself and how I look. So, let’s start of with the bad stuff, shall we?!

Dislikes

Inner

I always find the need to justify myself/others. Not only towards teachers, friends, family or even the people who are reading my blog but also to myself. Everytime I do something or say something I have the urge to excuse myself. If you are around me a lot you probably notice that I say “sorry” after almost every sentence I say, mostly that sorry is not needed At. All.

I seriously lack self-confidence. This one is probably the reason of all the other things I am about to say or I have said already, but I have no confidence. I know this keeps me from doing a whole lot of stuff, basically everything that involves me and attention. Don’t get me wrong, sometimes I like to be the center of attention, but that’s only around the people I really know well, family and friends. But when it comes to strangers I say absolutely nothing, scared to say something they wouldn’t like. Trust me if I say that I am able to write an entire post about this, and maybe I will, in the future!

I never know what I want. Life exists of making decisions, and that’s another thing I’m terrible at. Especially when you make my choose between two things. I understand that a bit of dubiousness is okay, but I know that whatever I will choose, I’ll be unhappy with it. Hereby it happens that I just spend my day doing nothing, regretting I ain’t doing anything, and doubting what I better had done. Not fun!

I give up really fast. If something doesn’t work out I go looking for the nearest corner to act like a mess. That also makes that there are always a tone of things I need to finish of because it failed the last time I tried doing that certain thing. When things like this happen at school it always takes me so long to tell myself I should just move on and not act like a drama-queen in front of everybody.

I’m lazy, like really lazy. If you ask me something there are two chances. 1. I just don’t do it and spent my time avoiding you or 2. I lose an extreme sigh, then I do my job with apparent reluctance. As fast as possible, because I’m lazy. This gets me into fights a lot, and it makes me feel bad. Sometimes I do have days I actually do what people ask me, but those days are (way too) rare!

Appearance

My back is hollow, I don’t like that. Not only does this give me a lot of back pain, it also makes my posture a little droopy. I really need to remind myself I need to keep my shoulders up and not let them hang, luckily if I do think about it all goes well, but it’s still something that really annoys me!

I don’t like my teeth. Of course I do have braces for a reason, so this one doesn’t really count. But for now I don’t like my teeth, they are very crooked which is sooo annoying!

My skin is something I usually don’t really bother, but the skin around my nose is something that keeps getting worse, then better, then worse again, .. It’s really red and un-clear.

My arms are shaped very weird. Like when you stretch your arms you are expected to stop when they’ve come to a straight line, but my arms just keep on going until it looks like some weird, crooked branch!

Lastly my lashes. They haven’t got the same length, the lashes on my left eye are a lot longer than the ones on my right eye. Sometimes I only curl me right lashes so they appear a bit more alike, but overall it’s quite noticeable they aren’t the same length.

Inner

I’m a good listener. When there is something you really want to tell me I will listen and not say anything until you ask me to. I know how annoying it is to have people talking through your story all the time so I just stay quiet for a little while.

I am organized. I know everyone will say I am not but I really am. For every thing I need to do I make a to do list, I have 3 dairy’s to write everything down, and in my room everything has its place. So basically, when I don’t do anything it’s because I’m lazy, not because I’m not organized. -I probably shouldn’t say this, just in case my teachers would read my blog- Also I like it when my room is a bit messy, when stuff get’s too organized it’s just not cosy anymore!

I am quite creative. Well, let’s say I have some good ideas. I am to clumsy to implement most of the ideas, but yet I have them!

I can be helpful, this is something Cheyenne told me so I don’t really know anything else to say about this. But I guess that, if I like you & I know you don’t use me for some reason, I’ll always help you out when you’re in trouble.

And apparently I can also give good advise. I can actually imagine that some of the things I say can be helpful in situations, but when you ask my for advice I mostly am unable to come up with something that will really help you out. Just wait for it, it’ll come!

Appearance

I like my legs. They are pretty long, have a nice shape and aren’t too thin/thick. They do have a bit of an “O” shape some times, but it isn’t that notably and I don’t really mind them either.

I like my lips. I am probably the only person in my family who actually has lips and I’m proud of it! -no offence- Because my lips are  really full it’s easy to apply lipstick AND make that lipstick look good at the same time. Well, I just like my lips!

My eyes are something I really like too. As I mentioned before I don’t really like my lashes, but the shape of my eyes makes it all good. I really like how they’re pretty round and well-shaped, also my brows are quite high so I don’t have hang-like eyelids.

Cheekbones, I like mine and I love others. When men have some pretty cheekbones I’ll think you’re very pretty. Of course I don’t like women with a really angular face. But mine aren’t too harsh, but yet they’re there. They make it so easy for me to apply bronzer/blusher/highlighter. I never really have to look for the right spots because they were so easy to find, oh well..

My nose is quite standard but I like it. It’s pretty big though, but rarely enough that’s something I really don’t mind. I like my nose, POINT.

Lush are pretty well known for their Christmas specials. Blogs are filled with reviews of these specials as soon as they’re in the stores, and however I always enjoy reading about them and smell every single product in the Lush stores, I always forget about them. As I’m travelling to the Arden for New Year I decided to go and get myself some delicious bath stuff since we don’t have a bath @ home.

Father Christmas €5,95

Father Christmas is described as a bath bomb that gives you the smells, the colours and the glitters of Christmas. Father Christmas contains mandarin oil and orange flower absolute which leaves a fresh but powdery smell. Not really what you would expect of a Christmas bath bomb but surely not bad! As you’re reading this I am probably enjoying a hot bath with Father Christmas. -and yes, we’re still talking about the bath bomb!- Reviews do warn about a whole lot of glitter, so you better try this if you’re not planning anything to serious!

Christmas Eve €5,95

Christmas Eve is a bubble bar which should moisture your skin a lot. You can use it more than once (read: twice), as you can break it into two pieces and crumble it into your bath. The soothing scents of jasmine, ylang and gardenia have a calming effect. -if they take away your NYE hangover? try it is all I say!- Now to the sad part, until now I haven’t read any good reviews on this thing, so I don’t know if I should be excited to try this or not.

Today I wanted to talk about my New Years resolutions. I used to say they were stupid, mainly because I think that if you are unhappy with something you should change it asap and not wait until another year has started. But since I noticed there is one person -*cough, me, cough*- that isn’t following this “mode of life”, I decided there needed to be some changes. Even if I have to make myself a stupid New Years resolutions list. While I’m typing this I’m home from school for 2 weeks because of Christmas and New Years, almost half of this holiday is over and I haven’t done anything, I haven’t seen anyone and I haven’t talked to anyone. This is not a first time and I am very unhappy with that. Therefore I decided to make myself a list and just go for it! I wont give you a 3-page-long description why I think it’s important to change that certain thing because that’s just plain boring, but I do want you all to read my resolutions and think about this. Is there anything that you’re unhappy with right now? Change it! Even if it’s just that one girl on your Facebook timeline with THE most depressing statuses in the world, or your brother that just wont get out of your room. Change it, make yourself a list if things you would like to do/achieve in 2013 and do/achieve it!

Hola mis amigos! I hope you are all having fun celebrating New Years’s. I’m in the Arden with my mom, her boyfriend and some of our friends. Just the same place and people as last year actually. Last night we ate something -delicious-  while waiting for the new year to start, and of course drank some champagne when the clock stroke 12! I have no idea what we are going to do today but I’m sure it’ll be as much fun as yesterday. Back to last night, I decided to wear my all-time favourite Urban Outfitters shirt with a lion on it, you know, that thing I wear in almost every outfit post! I combined this with a skirt from American Apparel. This is actually the exact same outfit I wore the first day in Florence this summer, but since that was only my mom and her boyfriend I didn’t really mind wearing it again. Of course I had to add some tights because it’s freezing outside, & added some black boots to make it all look a bit more festive -this summer I wore it with my glitter trainers- 

I decided to keep the make-up quite simple. I used Sin, Naked and Buck from the Urban Decay Naked palette and added some Bad Gal mascara from Benefit. For my face I did the exact same thing as I do every morning, which is primer, foundation, setting powder and blush. On my lips I am wearing a lipgloss which I think is from Mac, but the brand name & the sticker is gone so I don’t really know!

I wore my hair in a bun all day and took it out for the night to get some volume, added some hairspray et voila!
